Abstract
There are holograms which show a pretty actual image of a real object/scene, but most of them made with artistic purposes are characterized by immateriality, invisibility and restricted view-angle. Although those could be considered in a first glance as disappointing features of the holographic image, indeed artists have used them as resources for creative aims. This paper tries to prove this fact based on the aforementioned resources analysis from lexical, syntactical as well as semantic points of view. The survey is widely illustrated by art works and installations developed by relevant artists who have used the holography media.
