Session 6--Electronic, Digital, and Computer Generated Holography |
| |
There are so many practical technologies as well as respective application proposals for electronic, digital, or computer generated hologram since the invention of the detour phase by Prof. Adolf Lohmman in Germeny, especially, after the commercial use of SLM (spatial light modulator) as LCD (Liquid Crystal Device) and DMD (Deviated Mirror Device), holographic printer has been first developed by Zebra Imaging Co. ancestry from Prof. Stephan A. Benton of MIT Media Lab, the earlier died talent for holography and one of the three fathers of display holography. It seems that holography is rather the spatial treatment of the optical information than the original wavefront recording and reconstruction. Your contributions to this sessions will be thought as the effective combination of nowadays electronic civilization with the forthcoming photonic wisdom which will expand the connation of present Information Technology based on communication theory and the two dimensional image display from temporal or scalar treatment of electronic or photonic signals or pulses to the future hybrid (temporal and spatial) or vector treatment of photonic streams expressed by Poynting Vectors. |
